Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

I'm still working on reading through everything, so sorry if this has been covered, but is anyone running an ulul in .22 ARC? and if so, who's making the lightest barrels for them? I've been searching the internet and haven't found much for lightweight options for either the 6 or 22 ARC.
I had a 22 ARC gasser for a bit, Ballistic Advantage 16” fluted barrel was 27.7 oz on my scale. I believe @doverpack12 has that barrel on a UL build now.

Have they discontinued the polymer lower parts kit? I cannot find them... not even labled "out of stock".

If the have, what is the next best option.

I would like to know the same thing. I’m working on gathering all the parts for a ULUL and was getting ready to order the LPK only to see that it doesn’t exist.

Is there another lightweight, affordable option out there?

Honestly, whatever's cheapest. 99% chance you're going to shitcan the trigger anyway & you don't need the mag holdback release. Outside of that, it's just springs, pins, detents & your safety. They're literally all the same (unless you're a Tier One, go-fast weenie & want titanium)

Pick whichever flavor puts a bit of wind in your hose. They're pretty much all the same thang.

NFA completely closed down and sold everything off...then a few weeks later they opened back up. I'm not sure what was going on behind the scenes.

Since reopening, they have very little other than some of their lowers. The poly LPK had been out of stock quite a while before they closed, not sure if it will be back, and what's going on with NFA.

I think the poly LPK is worth using if it's available. If the trigger works for you, great, if not, the rest of the parts are as light as possible and work fine.

Anyone have a 6-10” chunk of Carbon fiber tube 34mm ID they can sell? I’ll buy more if you e got it.
I've actually got a 500mm length arriving today.

My upper shipped this morning, so by the middle of next week I'll know how much leftover I have (I'm going to guess exactly half)
If you can hang on for a week you're welcome to whatever I don't use.

EDIT: Actually, duh, I'll measure the one on my 300 today & I can mail the spare on Monday, if you want to PM me your address.

You got a new project in the works? I bet some people would be interested!

Started ordering parts for my first ULUL. I’m building the first one with a BCA side charge upper (uber-light isn’t the goal with this one, light and manually operated is the goal). Are there any mods that need/should be done to use it as a non-gas system. Are guys cutting down the BCG on these uppers to lighten them up?

I just took a hack saw and cut the back of the bolt off for my BCA side charger. I think it shaved around 3 oz off (its steel) and it worked fine.

You guys having luck with the budget 22 arc barrels?
I had a 6 arc then sent the barrel back to Shaw for a full refund. It was a 3 moa barrel with factory 108 eldms for 20. Some groups with hand loads were 10 moa

So I've got an arc gun with no barrel.

Will probably end up ordering a Craddock or something.

I don’t have their 22 ARC barrel but Bear Creek Arsenal barrels just flat shoot in my experience. I’m sure the occasional bad one is out there but I own 3 and they all shoot easily under MOA.
I do have the BCA 6 ARC 26” in M4 profile. Doesn’t look like they offer a light 22 ARC. They didn’t have 22 ARC barrels period a year ago when I started building my UL sidepull 22 ARC.

They do seem to have a pretty good reputation as accuracy/$

As @robtattoo said, their 5.56 pencil barrel is probably the best value to get started with an UL-UL
