Ultralight Ultralight Rifles

Yeah, I have a Ruger Charger 22lr for my light, short, fun, quiet slot
I have a Winchester Wildcat that will run anything from 800 fps subs to the hottest 22lr rounds we've found and function right. Very accurate and fun gun for toting around in the summer. Subs from a 16" with a suppressor are a hoot.

Man this tread as been addictive and a little expensive but fun and I’m really happy about the way mine turned out 4lb as pictures and shoots better than I can thanks guys for the info on all yalls builds.
BCA bolt action upper?

What type accuracy are you getting on these light weight builds? I have been fond of light weight bolts for years. I have a Barrett fieldcraft and several Kimber Montana’s. Thank
I'm averaging 1.5" for 10 shots out of my .300 Ham'r. 16" Wilson combat barrel, 130gr Speer Hot Cor, 2.5-10 SWFA UL.

I did, however, just switch out the scope for an SLX 5x microprism. That's dropped me down to 4lb exactly with 5 in the mag. Haven't had chance to shoot it yet.

Any ideas if we will be able to load the new 6mm 117 TMK in our ULUL builds, or will COAL be too long to fit?
I don’t know if anyone has really even messed with the 108s
It seems like when you get above the 95ish grain class you compromise too much powder capacity (even with a long OAL) and the velocity is too lacking.

Are you saying they will fit in a ulul repeater chambered for 6arc, or are you saying id have to get a 6arc bolt gun?
The bullet doesn’t exist. So I wouldn’t allocate too much brain space on it. Plus it’s Sierra.

But, it should be fine stuck in a 6ARC case. It’s going to be long, so you’ll lose some case capacity in AR platform.

My point was that the case capacity loss in 6ARC AR will likely be a trade off people will make. In 6x45, it will fill half the case.

The bullet is going to be over 1.2” long. You’re pretty much limited to 2.39” max without modifying upper and barrel extension. .223 case is 1.75” long.

6ARC case is a .25” shorter so you have more room to work(less case capacity to be eaten up). But the bullet base will still be below the shoulder to case junction. I’m not saying this is optimal. I’m saying someone can probably find a powder and barrel length combination that makes sense for them.

I just don’t really see the point. ULUL needs speed not BC.

If anyone is interested, I may be able to get the guy who loaded the 77TMK 223 (for the previously known "stand1" brand) to get a good discount if buying a larger bulk order... 5k-10k rounds. If I recall correctly, the stand one retail pricing was around $36 for a box of 20... plus shipping... pretty pricey, so in the past, I had only bought and used sparingly. But it was way faster and more accurate than anything I could load myself... so I kept some around specifically for hunting. (2750fps 77tmk in a 16 inch barrel).

I have no need for thousands of rounds... but 300-500 hundred more at a decent price would be appealing. So if anyone else wants to go in on it, send me a PM and let me know what you think would be a decent pricing if we could get it... I'm sure it won't be anything close to "plinking" ammo prices... but this would be premium ammo.
