Has anyone found a superb trigger for their ULUL setup? My lightweight mil spec does the job but I’m always left wishing for a more premier feel. I have been eying the Jard AR set trigger as I think it’s an interesting concept for my BCA bolt action ULUL 223 AR. Interested to hear any thoughts on the matter. Thanks.

3.5 pound single stage CMC for mine. Great hunting trigger, and reasonable when on sale.

Pretty happy with the rise 140 rave. It seems lighter than my larue and is very crisp but i am lacking on experience here. Did not weigh either trigger group.

A friend just tried my ULUL and is all in. He ordered a Solo 300upper, and is debating 6x45 or 223.

My Shaw portless barrel is awesome, but not currently available.

What are the go-to options right now for 223 or 6x45 builds?

I was doing some research this morning and the only 6x45 AR barrels i could find were in the custom category. X cal has a drop down option for portless, and a spaghetti contour.

No extraction issues with 6x45 in the Solo 300, right? 6 arc would be awesome but I want "easy peasy lemon squeezy" like my 223 Wylde was.....

My 6 ARC operates with pinky finger tip pressure BUT not on a Solo upper. The solo is made tighter. I’m using a BCA side charge upper and cut the bolt carrier off.
My solo/shaw portless combo requires the most effort of 22 ARC, 6 ARC and 223 Wylde. I think it has to do more with the Solo tolerances that the cartridge.

Does the cut carrier BCA function the same as the Solo?

Shot it at a long range shooting class as a challenge for myself and to proof the rifle/scope. It hung right with a bunch of custom rifles

Cut bolt carrier is just like a solo. Follow Thegman recommendation and remove the gas rings from the bolt and the rubber piece from inside the spring on the extractor. Solo does those two things for you.

To clarify, you have the side charger upper, not the bolt action upper????

My solo with 6x45 X-caliber spaghetti barrel shoots and functions excellently (I did end up getting a Rubber City bolt as well because my original Solo bolt had chambering issues with my barrel)

It sounds like the concensus for 6mm cartridges in a ULUL platform is that the 6x45 is preferred because it cycles better in the solo300 or other side charging repeater setup than the 6 arc.

But if im sticking with a gas setup and because I dont hand load (yet) the easy button for me feels like the 6 arc. Then in the future maybe baby step into reloading with other bullets in the 6arc.

6.5 bcg are easy enough to find, and although i havent found a pencil weight 6arc barrel at least i wouldnt have to get a custom one built.

From what i read, it sounds like they are compatible but could have feeding issues. Thegman found a way to improve it. For now im content with keeping it as a gasser though.

Not that I have a cart full of items from bear creek, but if I was going to build an arc I would try it on the bca side charge upper.
