Yes they are legal here. It’s the “patron state of shooting stuff”Rob, aren't you in Tennessee? I thought SBRs were legal there.
Unfortunately, it's a privilege of citizenship & I ain't oneRob, aren't you in Tennessee? I thought SBRs were legal there.
If that’s how you want to run it, shortening the carrier tails shouldn't affect anything to any extent. Maybe just remove the plug, run the bolt back and mark the tails where they need to be cut if you want to take off as little as possible. The bear creek needs some sort of buffer. Can’t run it with the plug in the back of the lower because the bolt carrier is too long. I didn’t feel like cutting the wings off the carrier/ didn’t know how it would affect it.
I’ll probably just leave it as is. I like having the adjustable stock since it’s a kids gun and that’s easy to do with a mil spec buffer. It’ll be more exciting with a 16” barrel and a real stock on it. I really don’t mind the bear creek bolt, just have to remember it’s a 180$ action. If that’s how you want to run it, shortening the carrier tails shouldn't affect anything to any extent. Anything on the NFA list is a no-no for me.
England.Rob, where are you a citizen?
Oh, the irony! Maybe you can get around this by starting an FFL or being a responsible person (RP) on one. I bet there is a way.England.
One of the few countries in the world where, if I still lived there, I could buy a suppressor OTC......
Believe me, I've looked at every possibility. Can't get an FFL or C&R or anything like.Oh, the irony! Maybe you can get around this by starting an FFL or being a responsible person (RP) on one. I bet there is a way.
BUT in the grand scheme of things, it's a pretty small price I'm more than willing to pay to get to live here!Believe me, I've looked at every possibility. Can't get an FFL or C&R or anything like.
I've been dealing with my Visa status for 16 years now. There isn't a stone on that particular beach that hasn't been turned over & thoroughly inspected!
It was a cheap airsoft one I got for $60, it's a little wobbly but a small sticky pad would kill the slop. I've also machined a longer stock for it as its a bit short. Just need to tap the holes in it. It's a knock-off of the AT3 brace, which I'll likely pick up at some point.Great work chopping down the pork. What stock is that on your build?
Nice job! What bullet and what range? What kind of terminal effects did you see? That thing must be as quiet as a pellet gun, if not quieter.Forgot to post this from about 6 weeks ago. Solo300 blackout with subs got the deed done. 4.5lbs unloaded

I forgot the important stuff (I also forgot to range it with a paper plate!). Callaway Ballistics 195g Boar Axe. I was hoping to recover the bullet but it went clear through at 40yds. Everything I've seen on this seems to make them out to be an absolute blender when combined with a fast twist, in my case a 1:5t. Lungs were shredded, it walked about 10 yds and collapsed. It was still alive when I got to it a minute later but he was done so I dispatched with another round to the head.Nice job! What bullet and what range? What kind of terminal effects did you see? I'd think with the straight-pull, using smaller amounts of fast pistol powders with a suppressor would be extremely quiet(?). Not having to also auto-cycle the action has a lot of suppressed subsonic advantages I'd think.

Banish 30 but with the front section removed for weight. I got suckered into the BOGO with their 22-k can. I'm actually happy with both. I like being able to reduce weight and length on the 30, and so long as you run subs on the 22-K2What suppressor
