The Wolf Hunter from DD is a great can. It's quiet on my .243. However, you don't need that much internal volume for a 6x45. If weight is the goal, I'd look hard at Wyoming Arms' 5 Squared titanium suppressor with a 6mm hole. It's only 5 ounces. On paper, it seems ideal, but I've never seen or used one, so this is only theoretical.

For the ultimate 6x45 build, I'd rock a 12-inch barrel and have someone pin and weld the 5 Squared can to bring overall length to 17 inches. That would be sweet.

Trackselk what would you get I like the Wyoming Arms 5 S
I'd trust stupidlightweight's recommendation, or the scythe-ti. Not sure if the WYarms5S is "hearing safe", as most of the lightest cans aren't. But, less hearing damage is a lot better than more!

I trust his opinion also I was trying to get as much reduction in noise as possible and as much input as possible as most of these cans are kinda expensive but I have decided to have 2 ULUL rifles a 223 and a 6x45 and that will more than cover anything I will hunt from now on as my age will get me before long

If you want quiet, I'd read everything available before you get anything smaller than the scythe-ti. For comparison, I carried my Ultra 7 gen 2 all over nasty terrain and it was tolerable (bad back and knee), so the scythe-ti is excellent at similar noise suppression but 20+% lighter

C Bow, if the goal is ultimate sound reduction, do not get a dinky can from WY Arms. I repeat, don't get that can.

For noise reduction, volume (as in space) is critical. The Wolf Hunter is the best 6mm option I know of. It will sound great on a 6x45 and .223 without much added weight or length. For a dedicated .223 can, the quietest I have used is the Silencer Central Banish .223.

The Scythe-Ti is another wonderful option, and if you ever plan on using it on larger rifles, that's the route to go. But if you're only gonna use this can on a .223 or 6x45, I wouldn't suggest a .30-caliber can.

I’ve got a handful of suppressors, and really can’t say I notice a practical difference using .22, .30, .36, .45 cal cans with an appropriately sized endcap. Granted, my 223 cans are on the small end, but they’re perfectly comfortable for hunting shots.

Hybrid 46
Omega 36m
AB Raptor 10
Griffin Bushwhacker 46
Griffin Optimus Micro
Griffin Resistance 22m

Personally, I’d go toward a Scythe or 30 cal Raptor 6/8 for lightweight.

Impatiently waiting on a Shaw barrel.

In the meantime, I want a traditional profile rifle. I don't want to spend lots of money... so here is an idea I had.
AR15 Idea.png
What if I ground off the area behind the trigger (where the handgrip fits on), ground off the castle nut area from the lower(not needed now since it will be a short bolt straight pull) and installed a butt stock. What I'd do is drill a hole where the red line goes through the lower and I'd anchor a big screw there like you would for a Remington 870. I think the caveat is that I could not do this with a poly lower, it would be too fragile. But I think with a aluminum lower it would be strong enough.
I know the normal AR15 set up is probably better for long range shooting but I like a more traditional rifle.

Should work. I’d suggest buying a FightLite SCR lower instead.
