Yeah, and your Stand1 is probably faster than these, to boot. Thanks for testing these out. These NAS cases might be a flash in the pan. Will be interesting to see how they do for others.
Now that I'm getting 250, I'll be glad to mail you, stupidlightweight, and Kyle 5 each to mess with if you want them. I'll get some loaded up asap, but just ordered them about 2 days ago...

I know it was discussed previously, but can someone bring me up to speed on how to modify a magazine to maximize cartridge length? And best mag? I bought a 5rd stainless duramag and have a few others laying around.
The duramag is great. I’ve posted it twice at least. The gist of it is to cut the front of the magazine off.

These cases are also slicker than brass, so maybe the extra pressure makes these a bad fit in a strait pull regardless.
Has anyone ran any really hot reloads in a strait pull yet?
I'll have a ladder test from the new cases and brass cases from the same barrel in about 2 weeks, depending on when my nas3 cases get here
Can you define “really hot”? I have loaded some rounds well over max, like 10% more, and blowing primers out. Pmax said I was up around 70k pressure. Never had to hammer the action open, but I have had to slap it a few times.

For me I'd say just shy of leaking primers, swipe, or other overpressure signs. Just under "pressure", is what I call max. Sounds like you definitely made them hot, another knock against the nas3 cases. Hopefully it's just a particular barrel or a bad batch of cases that packgoatguy got, however unlikely.

I am curious if some dry lube left on the outside of those new cases would help. I hope they aren’t a gimmick, but I could definitely see it leaning that way. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. My grandfather and his generation were chasing more velocity before my dad was ever a twinkle in his eye.

I was thinking that too, then packgoatguy smacked some sense into me and reminded me that the case has to grip the chamber walls, or the bolt takes the load, and it can't...
-for anyone that doesn't know, lube in the chamber of any gun is a big nono

Mmmmm I think the 5.56 bolt could take a little more stress. It has more meat on it than the arc bolt does, and I know some guys that are loading their gassers up with the “bolt only” load data (62k psi)

I am trying to figure out how to best to attach my carbon tube handguard so I can take it off to swap out the barrel. I saw this barrel nut and thought it would be helpful for attaching a carbon tube handguard as I could just attach it with screws. Did anyone else tap the solo barrel nut?

This company also makes a 11oz .22lr! barrel for 22 lr upper.
