Yeah, but it doesn’t appear to be protruding inside the barrel, so I'm thinking I can still use a gas block or something.

Yes I would think that you're probably fine. I'd probably even try shooting it without a gas block. I don't think it would leak, but I guess could potentially start to back out after so many shots. With gas block I bet it'd be fine

If you use Express VPN, change your location to any European country, Google Strelok and download using PayPal in Euros.

It still won’t show up in the App Store that way. You have to Google it. You have to download from Google.

From what I understand, it's some crap about the war in Ukraine and potentially Strelok being used by Russians(??). The State Department I believe has banned its downloads and updates. That's why you haven't seen an update for a couple of years and can't buy in an app store. I'm hoping that gets undone in the future; it's a really useful program. Mine still has the reticles I use, and most of the bullets, but no new Primary Arms reticles, new bullets, etc.

Not to take things off track, but can you download updates that way, or just buy the app? I'd think updates to what one may have would only be through an app store(??) Maybe it comes up in the app store if location is Europe?

So, you’re saying that violates this, so downloading Strelok is prohibited.

Copy.

I was shooting my solo 300 yesterday and it got super hard to eject, had to bump the handle on the shooting bench to get it started and then it would slide back fine. Any tips on what to do to make it better? It may just need cleaned but I haven’t shot it that terribly much

What cartridge and barrel are you using?

I don't know how much it helps (because I've not tested it without), but are your lugs greased well? The friction between your bolt lugs and barrel extension lugs may be the main issue after the fired case is tightly stretched into the chamber.

A gasser hits the bolt carrier like a hammer blow and breaks everything free. With the solo...it's just a gentle pull, so anything to help likely makes it easier to cycle.

It’s a 9” 300blk. And I don’t think I greased it up super well, I will try that. It’s been fine for awhile but I guess it just built up enough to make it tight

Grease is the enemy of smooth functioning, especially when it’s cold.

Hornady One Shot Gun Cleaner and Lube with Dyna Glide Plus

Easy to use and helps with corrosion, as well. Little spray on the bolt and lugs works wonders. Hit the spot where the bolt seats into the bolt carrier, as well.

NOT the CASE LUBE, which is an entirely different product.

Yeah, that is a little strange. The 300BLK is probably the easiest extracting of any of the Solo appropriate chamberings. Let us know what you find out.

I use a very lightweight red grease. Seems to work fine. Other things may work well too, IDK.

@KyleR1985 , I will look into that one. My dream is to be able to figure out a sub 20 oz stock that folds or can be taken down for my Tika. I am not opposed to hacking on an aluminum or magnesium chassis to lighten it up as long as it's a cheap one

Tall order, the lightest stock I've seen is 13oz, and the lightest folding adapter is a hair over 3oz. That only gives someone 3oz of hardware and reinforcing in a featherweight class of stock to come in under 20.
