yep. throw a small red dot on and its gtg. I have also considered purchasing the "kids" tuffy rifle and having it threaded for a choke tube. That would cut off about 8" and probably a couple of ounces. In the end I decided it probably wasn't worth it. If you want it even lighter then don't use the stock LOP extention, but it's going to be crampedThe Rossi Tuffy 410 single shot is 2.95lbs

Just looking at my spreadsheet, the tuffy turkey with a riton optic and a very lightweight sling (probably 2.5 ounces total in additions) is 59.4 ounces on my scale.
Per Rossi Website:
Tuffy Turkey: 58.8oz
Tuffy (regular): 47.2 oz
Rossi Brawler: 36.8 oz
Not speaking for everyone, but I have some carbon that leaks out of mine. For those who have done the gas block backwards, does it block all of the gas? Or should I be looking at getting a tap and screw?
I found this stock last night and had to share--4.1 oz and $125. A lighter castle nut or redesigned part with no castle nut could drop that weight lower.

It has me thinking I need to get a 3D printer. I've long been on the fence, and this might be the item that pushes me over.
Culturally, as hunters, I think we're all conditioned to expect our rifles to last in perpetuity and hand them down as heirlooms, an investment.I can’t get past how all this stuff feels “consumable” and I should expect it to fail.
I thought the advantage of the Farrowtech was that the whole back end was 12oz including the folding adapter?? What does this set up weight with the folding adapter? That’s where the weight seemed to be in all of these setups. You’re a bad influence.
A few pictures. One note - if your BCG isn’t cut down, this stock won’t work for you. ID too small.
It weighs an ounce more than a farrowtech and aluminum A2(no castle but).
The butt weighs .2 more than farrowtech.
I personally don’t enjoy the angle of the farrowtech(not enough to not use it), so the adjustable feature is nice.
All the polymer and carbon and foam has eliminated the main reason I wouldn’t use a black gun to hunt - cold loud metal.
I can’t get past how all this stuff feels “consumable” and I should expect it to fail.
If anyone has any questions about it or need a measurement let me know.

This is just reflecting my naiveness about AR parts. I’m not even sure what an A2 tube is.I might be missing the point?
I just bought the farrow tech butt stock - to go on the back of an a2 tube.
The gun in the picture is 4.5lbs. But I’ve got 20 plus ounces in BCA upper and side charging bcg. I’m not an ULUL kitty yet.
What barrel is on your rifle? It looks skinnier than the Shaw, but maybe that's an optical illusion??You’re a bad influence.

Be careful, if you build one, your other rifles may start to seem too damn heavy and annoying to carry...@go4thegusto some really light AR’s in this thread.
