What are y'all doing for slings with a Kaw Valley carbon PCC handguard???
The rifles are so light, I haven’t even wanted a sling. Think of it like carrying a glock around. I have seen @Thegman runs a piece of paracord. You could always drill a hole through the handguard to make a set spot to tie it to.
The Gen2 Solo 300 are sold out. Where are you buying yours from?

Does anyone make a 6mm Arc port less ar15 barrel? If not, what would be the best way to get this made?

Also, what manufacturers have good accuracy with a pencil profile ar15 barrel?
If you go back and read some of the earlier thread, any case larger than a 223 style had hard extraction with the straight pull style. If you are set on one, I got a custom ar barrel from x-caliber in 6x45 but they do offer the arc IIRC. Easy to select “omit gas port”

Most people have seen great accuracy from the faxon pencil barrel.

I'm using a looped, looped flat piece of cord (like the outer sleeve of some paracord) with something tacky on one side, like shoe goo.

You can see it in most of my field pics. The loop cinches against itself under weight and doesn't slip, but is also super easy to adjust, move or remove.

I did this as a stop-gap measure on my first Kaw Valley handguard, but it has worked so well that's all I use now.

Like Taudisio said, a hole (or two for a loop) would be really simple and more permanent if you want that.

Add a couple of these either sewn on or with adjustment sliders and you have a super lightweight sling. I just used a lightweight strap like that I had, from some sort of bag. It's worked so well I've just moved it from rifle to rifle for two years now.. Takes 15 seconds to switch it out. These rifles are so light you really don't need much in the way of a sling as to width or strength.

Amsteel is another good option. It’s the same material as the webbing I posted.

I believe they make a 1/2” or 3/4” wide version of the strap too, just couldn’t find it quick.

1/8” amsteel could be your gun strap and also tow your atv and maybe your truck out of a hole if needed.

Oh, and that S1 I posted made me smile zeroing. One shot at 50 yards. Dialed. Two more shots where they should be.

Ya gotta love accurate adjustments

Finally got one of these together. Not sure what the orings are that came with the solo action.

The action sure feels stiff and stuck when playing with it here in the garage.

This is purpose built for 200 yards and under (think Kodiak deer, small field coyotes). That being said I'm not sure if what optic to use. 3x micro prism or some sort of red dot....

Thoughts?

What are the details on your build? An ideal optic might be different for different chamberings (?).

As far as "stiff and stuck", if you mean opening the action, that's a good thing as that's holding them in battery. I'd rather they stay closed pretty tightly rather than open too easily.

The orings go on the charging handle. No clue why you'd ever want them though.

The charging will get easier. I'm a couple hundred rounds in, as well as a thousand dry cycles. It's getting easier.

I'm gna have to get an extended charging handle for the wife though. She struggles with getting the bolt into full battery.

Also, I'm going to try the Primary Arms SLX 3x for similar ranges. Right now it wears an NXS 2.5

I cannot think of what to buy for an extended charging handle. I could machine something custom, but if I could find something already knurled, that would be awesome. About 3" long and 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter.
