Let’s say marlin 336 in 6mm and 22arc. 103eldx and 80eldx with the flex tips. Would be some fun and handy truck type guns. 338 arc would fit in there nice too
Im thinking carbon magazine tube, composite fore end and buttstock. Im sure components in the receiver can be aluminum instead of steel. Who will be bold enough to make this niche gun?
Then that leaves one small problem; someone to develop and promote a 6mm level cartridge based on the 308 marlin express. Or wildcat it, except brass doesn't exist.
Somehow do that around 6lbs rifle weight and top it with a 1-8 NX8.
Man what a cool thought. One of the existing 30-30 wildcats or a “updated” one would be cool with brass all over. Slinging heavy for caliber bullets but with a “gummy tip” and a fast twist barrel. I have an old and rusty barreled 336 that would be fun to convert.
