Fingers crossed for solids next year. I really want those pants but not in camo as most of my use for something that light will be in the summer before hunting starts.

You and me both brother. I don’t want to buy tiburons. I want the Unitas in solids

Durability wasn’t quite what I needed with them (tiburons) awesome pants for a groomed trail in the heat though. Also hated the pocket flaps, nice to see Skre go away from it. My early season hat should be delivered tomorrow, hopefully that gives me a good indication of the Unitas material.

I've heard solids are in the works but who knows where they are in product devolvement or when they'll released.

I love the early season hat but it has a inner liner that gives it some structure.

That adds another fabric layer so it doesn't breathe quite as well as the pants

I didn’t realize they had a hat. I have a tiburon hat and I have tried to like it but it just don’t fit as good as my under armor hat. I am a hat guy I wear one every day all day so a good fit is important to me. I’m gonna have to order
One and see how I like it. My wife is gonna be thrilled that I got another camouflage hat. (Not really)

Got my early season hat and neck gaiter in. Accidentally ordered the hat in mtn stealth. Neck gaiter is big enough for multiple uses.

Kuiu’s is known to be short. For anyone interested in a size reference Skre’s is almost 40% longer. Same width and amount of stretch. This being my second wool piece from Skre bought months apart is a testament to me of constant feel, quality of workmanship and material.

Summit pattern is hard to describe. Great color contrast. Shapes add depth. Lots of negative space. Should be very versatile. I think it works well with open country.

Color consistency on different fabrics is a challenge for all brands. Very good match between a polyester hat and wool.

Turkey hunt was interesting but we had a great time hanging out together. Temperature was low of upper 40's and highs in mid 80's. I wore the unita pants and kaibab top with the hardscrabble vest until the sun came up. Megan wore two madtrapper hoodies until it warmed up. No turkeys were harmed but she that was ok sometimes.

I'd like to do a quick comparison of one favorite stika pieces the Jetstream vest to the Skre Hardscrabble vest.

I'm a huge fan of the Jetstream vest with it's gore windstopper membrane and fleece liner. It's an amazing layering piece either under or over other garments keeping sleeve bulk to a minimum a must for bow hunters.

This year has been my first using the hardscrabble vest so I might be a bit biased towards the stika. I was somewhat worried about the lack of a windstopper membrane but honestly haven't noticed it as an issue. This opinion may possibly change when the temps drop and north winds really blow where the difference highlight itself.

I have noticed on the hardscrabble the dual chest pockets vent nicely when wearing as an over garment even under a pack. Another feature unique to the hardscrabble is a waist cinch on the bottom which will be awesome keeping drafts out when sitting in a tree stand. The hardscrabble also has an inner chest pocket perfect for keys or a wallet that the Sitka lacks.

Here the Jetstream

I did notice the collar of the hardscrabble is a bit shorter than the jetstream

The jetstream collar also has a nice fleece trim that also covers the zipper. I've never noticed the zipper touching my skin on the hardscrabble but that could also due to the height being lower. I prefer the taller collar and the option to cover more of my face when working into the wind. I'll update more after some more use in fall temperatures.

What sizes? How is the fit between them?

They are both 2xl. The cut and fit of the vests are very similar the Sitka seems to have slightly more room for girth but hardly noticable at all.IMG_20180509_153108499_HDR.jpg
Here are both on the scale

Looks like SKRE customer service does it again. I bought a used set of SKRE rain gear off this site about a month ago. It came with only one stuff sack. So I messed around with some of my dry bags and other pouches trying to find the right fit. Fed up, I called SKRE today to just order new ones. Mike told me they would just send me a couple. I offered to pay for them since I bought my rain set used, he said it didn't matter. Since I was a previous customer of theirs he would take care of me. I already own quite a bit of their stuff.

Either way, customer service is definitely a concern for SKRE.

A “concern” in a good way or bad?

I guess I should have been more clear. They are definitely concerned about their customers. They have excellent customer service.
