First one first time hunting them 327yds. Next one 428 yards, best friend and hunting buddy 552 yds and 615 yards, Now the big thing here is we practiced a lot and are blessed with a range out to 600 yards. As stated wind is the common culprit learn how to read the wind down range, the other thing that helps is working in a two man spotting team one spotting and giving dope corrections for the terrain and wind values. What are your average and longest shots? I have in my head I want to train to be confident with up to a 500yd shot. Is that reasonable?
I think my main hitch will be wind. We dont get WY winds back east, at least not on ranges with any distance.
I’ve only put in once, drew once, and killed once. It was right at 300 yards on the Pinedale Mesa. Kneeling, off of shooting sticks.Up to 100 yards, 5%.
