Turrets or end of barrel for sight in?

Where does this fit in with quick drop? I like to make sure I precisely line up the front edge of glass on my range finder with the precise location of the reticle within the scope body.

I bring a Zeiss MMZ T into the field to establish the average midplane between my objective lens and eyepiece. Then I find the plane of the flat face of my muzzle and take the average plane between the first datum I determined and that.

Just shoot your rifle and don't worry about it. Unless you're looking to make world record groups with an unlimited class rail gun, in which case there's probably better forums to ask.

Rangefinder isn't gonna cut it. You have to run a calibrated tape measure to your target.

Ive tried this in the past, but to be honest the deer or Elk never let me get close enough to get an accurate measurement. Even if they do, by the time I get back to my rifle, they always move from where they were standing. It just seems like a wasted effort.

Revic BR10 is accurate to 1 yard at 100.

Does that mean I need a barrel at least 37” long to make a difference?

Bryan Litz from Applied Ballistics says turrets. A Hornady podcast about 4Dof says end of barrel.
I once saw a YT video of Bryan Litz with three laser range finders and a surveyors chain or measure roughly 100 yd distance to target.

I'm not Bryan Litz. You're not Bryan Litz. Bryan Litz is gathering scientific data and designing bullets.

I am practicing shooting for the sport of hunting. Whatever my LRF measures from my body to target is the same relative measurement it will provide in the field, within reason.

I am not trying to do the same thing as Bryan Litz. Are you trying to practice for hunting or are you doing what Bryan Litz is trying to do?
