Where does this fit in with quick drop? I like to make sure I precisely line up the front edge of glass on my range finder with the precise location of the reticle within the scope body.

Ive tried this in the past, but to be honest the deer or Elk never let me get close enough to get an accurate measurement. Even if they do, by the time I get back to my rifle, they always move from where they were standing. It just seems like a wasted effort.Rangefinder isn't gonna cut it. You have to run a calibrated tape measure to your target.
We’re going to need to get a surveyor involved to solve this one.
Sounds like I may have missed a good one.Or one of the cow experts from the surveying thread. To deal with the bs.
I once saw a YT video of Bryan Lutz with three laser range finders and a surveyors chain or measure roughly 100 yd distance to target.Bryan Litz from Applied Ballistics says turrets. A Hornady podcast about 4Dof says end of barrel.
