Looking for the best Turmeric supp with high Curcumin content. I think....but you can school me on what is best, looking for anti inflammatory supp for ibs (gut issues) and joints..

I purchased some Turmeric at wally to try and shoulder joint seemed much better within a day. Want to continue but looking for the highest quality. My choice now would be metabolic nutrition but looking for options, Thanks.

I use the turmeric from Costco (https://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature-turmeric-1000-mg.,-240-capsules-.product.100728782.html) and it's 1000mg per 2 capsules which is basically a 120 day supply for $31. I've been using this for a week so far and I know that it'll take some time to start feeling the effects but it's a good quality product that is guaranteed safe (it's USP certified). I have issues with bursitis in my left shoulder and inflammation in my right knee.

I'll give it at least 2 months of daily intake in addition to krill oil and glucosamine to see if there's a benefit I'm getting out of the combo.

My wife makes me a “tea” that has turmeric, cinnamon and all kinds of other supplements in it. Helps my joints and my ulcerative colitis when it gets bad. I’ll ask her what all she uses. Mucosacalm has also helped and drinking lots of water.

I always just take it out of the spice jar. Mix it on something, food or drink and suffer through it.

I do turmeric in tea. I use tumeric from the spice aisle, get a good quality organic one. Turmeric is fat soluble, so I heat up a about a quarter mug of milk in the microwave. Then add tumeric, stevia and a decaf chai tea bag.

I too make the tea. I do it with raw organic tumeric and ginger then add cinnamon, clove, black pepper, nutmeg and orange peel. Sweeten with local honey and cut with milk.

I'm not a tea guy....but it's actually pretty good and does seem to help with inflammation. Buying local a pound ends up costing about 10 bux and makes 2 weeks worth of tea.

Beef gelatin is an awesome supplement for joint health. Cleared up my tendonitis really quickly

Here is what I sent to Zap earlier (should have included it in the thread):

Turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory as is Chaga mushroom. I use both daily and harvest/process/sell Chaga across the country. I make both as a tincture as well as ground Chaga for tea. Here is a newsletter article that will provide additional information on both Chaga and myself.

Note: If interested in ordering, please contact me directly for a better price.

Previously I used Dr. Terry Naturally's Curcumin tablets for at least two decades. They were the best I could find when I started and never changed brands. Since making my own Turmeric and Chaga mushroom tinctures, these are all I take. I have literally seen lives changed - primarily due to the anti-inflammatory benefits. Call me if you have additional questions @ ______.

God Bless,
Wayne

Continued:

Tinctures are taken sublingually (under the tongue) for the most efficient absorption directly into the blood stream. Pills are taken orally. Make sure that any Turmeric (curcumin) has pepper included (piperine) since this increases the bioavailability. Hope this helps!

Here's the information sheet I include with my Chaga Mushroom products. It gives some broad-based information on Chaga along with instructions on use. Hopefully this will provide additional information on which to base your decision. It has powerful anti-inflammatory properties as well as many other benefits. One customer had her Rosacea resolve by 80% (skin inflammation condition). When we added Turmeric tincture - hoping for a synergistic effect - it has now resolved to 90% as of a week ago. You are on the right track to research alternative natural products to help treat and resolve health issues :)

Its not hard to add Tumeric to your diet as well.. I haven't looked into the supplements, but if you are going to add it to your food, you need to heat it in a fat(butter, olive oil, lard to activate the anti-inflammatory properties. Not sear a steak hot, just sautee vegetables hot. I've been eating lots of curry since COVID

So, 10 days into 2 a day of the stuff I got at wally world and it seems to be working very well. My joints feel much better and even my sinus is less congested plus getting up to pee less than half as often during the night. I wonder how much inflammation I was dealing with?.....I found a very good turmeric supp and it should be here in a few days. Very happy that I tried this stuff...

. I wonder how much inflammation I was dealing with?...

The average American has a significant amount of inflammation. There are a lot of simple, readily available things we can add to our diet to help put our bodies into a equilibrium. Quercetin is another great supplement to deal with inflammation

You can get inflammation from as little as 3 consecutive days using Ibuprofen. THere are some research Dr's who are finding that even root causes of PTSD are from prolonged/ongoing inflammation

Good to hear that the Turmeric supplements are helping, Zap. As I shared earlier, I used a pill form for two decades before making my own tinctures - which basically concentrates the beneficials (curcumin in the case of Turmeric). If you decide you want to try a Turmeric or Chaga tincture, please contact me. These are both taken sublingually (under the tongue) so they are efficiently absorbed right into the blood stream. My Turmeric tincture was processed with ground pepper (piperone) since this acts to make the curcumin (active ingredient in Turmeric) more bioavailable to our bodies. Piperone is a common ingredient in pill-form Turmeric for this same purpose. All the best!

so just wanted to jump back into this thread because root of the discussion has been "how to deal with inflammation"

Sauna..

I'm currently researching how I can get a sauna at my house. They can be a little pricey but they're basically all in one. They are heat stress inductors which is on the same playing field as intense cardio and weight lifting session, they help our bodies naturally detoxify through sweat production, and lastly they're generally relaxing if you can get your mind focused on something other than the intense heat
