Tuning question for BT Experience

Setup my bow six weeks ago and was shooting a small left nock tear while paper tuning, I could never get rid of it though, no matter what I did to the rest, and figured it was from my grip since I could get a bullet hole by changing my grip. Fast forward to about a month ago, I started broadhead tuning and my broadheads consistently hit left of my fp's no matter how close I move my rest to my riser (rh shooter), I don't have a paper tuner handy, so I can't verify what my arrow is doing when it leaves the rest, but logic tells me that I have some cam lean at full draw and that I need to yoke tune. Am I on the right path here?

Thanks! Could I set my center shot then French tune and adjust my center shot with my yokes?

Yoke tuning is not going to change your center shot. French tuning might find optimal rest placement given cam (lean) position, but will likely be unnecessary or redundant after proper yoke tuning. Personally, I'd rather tune the lean out first. The rest is usually easy at that point.

Start with center shot and then yoke tune. A laser helps a lot with setting both.

What can you do in lieu if using a laser, I'm thinking I just need to make a paper tuner.

what bow is this?

you know what blew my mind? i had an Axiom Pulse rest..pow..bullethole first shot out. i cracked under the pressure and let him talk me into a Smackdown Pro. great great rest. i got the tiniest left tear. fussed and fussed with it. i shoot an Elite, so i can mess with any yoke. i lived with it, and my broadheads flew fine. the rest fell apart (my fault probably) right before a new hunt. in a panic, i dug out the Pulse rest. took measurements and installed it in the same position as the Smackdown.. pow..first shot was a bullet. broadheads fly even BETTER!! now the smackdown is rattling around in my junk drawer.

some rest just get along with some bows better i think.

I find that my Experience likes a pretty low wrist, with my hand at a 45 degree angle. When we paper tuned mine, I could really change the tear by my grip. Make sure the string is coming straight off your cams without any leftish angle to it.

How can I yoke tune without a press? I'm tempted to make a pipe clamp press, but my wife is about to go outta town for a week so I'm going to be short time on taking care of three kids, and there's no dang way I can make it to the pro shop.

Disregard last post. Just used a screw driver and placed it in the cam and was able to adjust yokes as necessary.

I wouldn't do it with a Bowtech cam. They are not near as beefy as the Hoyt cams. Not sure about Hoyt's manual but the BT manual states right in it not to use this technique.

Not that I don't believe you, but where does it say this at?
