Trying to confirm seller’s account deleted

Well may have gotten bit by the scam bug. Just want to confirm that the account got deleted. I can’t find the threads they were selling on. The user was jpkoepse. I know a bunch of us messaged them about the SLCs

I did. Paypal F&F but with my CC. Not sure if I can do a chargeback but I’ll try. The communication seemed legit and actually still texting rn so I’m pretty confused on if it’s a scam or not. But this pretty much confirmed it thanks.

Yes a scam. Call you cc immediately and do a chargeback.

Definitely didn’t seem legit. This guy had scammer written all over it when I PM back and forth.

The problem is PayPal is liberal and it's not certain whether they'll actually cover something hunting related, and at worst it could end up in seized funds and a banned account.

I don't disagree, but if you apply that ideology equally, you aren't using modern technology or accessing Rokslide classifieds to buy used hunting gear either. It's a "do what you have to, to get by" situation. I've never sent funds G&S and made hundreds of internet transactions without being scammed, it's all about preventative measures.

If you start a freedom based pay app, I'll buy it.

There's always buying or selling scams, but if done the right way it's relatively safe. F&F is not the right way, G&S paid by a CC (if PP doesn't cover it the CC will) is pretty easy and just add 3% if the seller doesn't want to eat the fee.

I don't think their stance on firearms has any bearing on purchasing binoculars. I can't see a way that they would determine that to be a "hunting" purchase when birders are probably the primary buyer of Swarovski binoculars.

PayPal being what it is also didn't have any influence on a person intentionally choosing the "wrong" payment type.
