Truck's Done!

Man I put too many muddy wheelers and bloody game bags in my truck bed to make a carpeted bed seems like a good idea but maybe I am wrong. Is it easy to clean blood and such out of it compared to a standard hard spray in liner?

I have only hauled deboned meat in an ice chest in the bed but have tossed a lot of other stuff including fertilizer in it and it hoses right out, just like the video shows. Periodically I will have the car wash guys shampoo it before a camping trip. The bed was previously sprayed with a Rhino liner but I prefer a Bedrug, especially when moving furniture and stuff I don't wanna scratch. It looks nicer after several years too. I was hesitant at first but once I put in in my red truck, absolutely fell in love with it. It'll line every truck bed I own from now on. Just a tremendous product. Set something on it, drive like a maniac and it doesn't move an inch. And my knees appreciate the sponginess of the Bedrug.

That cow crushing bumper looks good. That is what my truck is missing. You will love the power steps with a lifted truck. I think they are great and come down just about right for a 6" lift.
I look forward to seeing it in person next fall.

I dig the lights (replaced em all around) and the LEDs on the Power Step but the Tailgate Assist that slowly drops it down is my favorite.

Have you ever had a problem with water/moisture getting under the bed rug and causing rust? I like the LED's for the power steps, its a nice touch.

When I first saw the pic I thought it looked like carpet then I said "No way its carpet, Who would put carpet in a truck? No MAN would have carpet in the bed of his truck. That spray in line just looks like carpet" LOL I can't believe it's actually carpet.

After watching the video and hearing your opinion I am extremely intrigued. I can see how nice it would be to have carpet back there when hauling a variety of things. Also a poly tarp is extremely cheap and could be thrown down when you want to load gravel, dirt, dead animals. Wow I am shocked.

Oh nice truck by the way.

The Bedrug does NOT hold moisture that could cause rust which surprised me. Other plastic "drop in" style liners do this. A Bedrug actually breathes and dries out quickly when I wash the truck or hose the back out. See of there's a dealer in your area so you can check em out for yourself, use the search tool at the top of this page: http://www.bedrug.com/products.html

I often throw a tarp down when gross stuff now...not only to protect the Bedrug but because it makes unloading easier. I hauled hundreds of pounds of gravel, tied the tarp off and drive forward. Slid right off. <g>

I can see where the carpet would be an advantage as stuff bangs and slides around in the back of my truck on the rhino liner. I don't see how any carpet in a truck can go without being stained tho.

I use my truck for construction....so no carpet....... different strokes

I just ordered the same front bumper....now im worried

If you are installing it with the powder coating you won't notice the flaws, they put that stuff on thick. However, if you intend to color match it to the vehicle then welcome to my world. Also know they have not updated the product and though they "claim" it'll fit it likely won't. The bumper sorta shrinks a bit when they start welding on it. It took quite a while for the shop to tweak it and mount it squarely on the truck. Lots of reviews regarding this that I read AFTER I saw mine. Mine was basically reshaped so the lines were right but it took dozens of hours to get it to look like this. Then it was painted repeatedly and finished with triple clear coat.

I use my truck for work also and was wondering the same thing about stains. Seems like I have had more than 1 occasion that something has spilled and I didn't notice it. Would be nice if they demonstrated the oil and bleach getting washed off after being on for 24 hours or so.

Was curious if you had a picture of the bumper before sandblasting?

Also have to suggest anyone who wants to try to keeping truck bed 'un bloody' and or inside of an SUV from hauling game is get a decoy sled. The decoy sleds are awesome for loading and unloading deer into the back of a truck, it'll keep all the liquids inside of the sled. :)

Sorry no. Bumper went straight to Outlaw Offroad. They did not send me any pics of it prior to sandblasting it.

I've used a bedrug type of liner on the bottom of my straight steel beds over the past 26 years....the same 3/4" thick rigid excersise mat foam is going strong but I am on the 3rd covering of Indoor/outdoor carpeting. It's on the fourth truck and fits all of them fairly well. When I throw bloody game bagged meat or anything else that is dirty in it goes UNDER the mat. The mat is flexible enough to fold up a bit to allow hauling elk or moose quarters under it with your gear on top. Since adding a second pickup to our fleet I also bought a new Bed Rug for the F150. It works just like the home made one and I have hauled home meat quarters underneath it as well.
