I was eyeballing discount. Their warranty costs more than my local tire shop but they’re still almost $400 cheaper than the local shop.

Those of you buying tires are you also paying the extra money for the warranty’s shops offer? I struggle to pay another $200 for a 4 year warranty but you get one junk tire and it does pay for itself.

Buying from the tire chains doesnt make a lot of sense. Yea its easy, I get that.

Still, there are a pile of folks out there with a tire machine an balancer. A lot of them boys sell just enough to get dealer pricing for their own needs.... Those are the folks yall need to know....

I end up morally conflicted when I look at tires like Kenda and Kanati because they are manufactured overseas. I keep going back to the Coopers because they are made in the US.

Why are tires for bigger wheels (20" vs 18") which means less actual rubber so much more expensive?

I bought 2 new sets of tires at the same time last August (Michelin LTX AT2 for work truck & Toyo RT Trails for personal truck) from Discount tire. Told them if they give me a discount I’ll buy from them, if not I’ll find someone that will. I can’t remember if they knocked 5% or 10% off both sets. Never hurts to ask!
