You can say that and I used to believe that fixed everything. But the reality is that it doesn’t.Shooting up is NEVER the answer.
Listening to the dealer that sells the junk isn't the answer either.
They make their living selling the junk.
Correct diet, exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management ARE the answer.
Sounds like it's time for 4 new tires.
Not quite as physically fit as you, but from my late 20s into my early 30s I was active and in good shape, sleeping 7-9hrs/night, etc. and yet constantly I was exhausted even upon waking up, unable to recover physically from strenuous activity for at least a week. You can say that and I used to believe that fixed everything. But the reality is that it doesn’t.
I’ve trained for marathons, ultras and Ironmans for the last several years. At roughly 38, I was at peak performance. Felt great, looked great, sharp as a tack, dedicated and motivated.
And then, things started changing. Motivation falling off, mental focus declining, noticeably harder to achieve gains in my training. I wrote it off as over training and poor diet. Dialed my training in, got my diet about as perfect as you could get. No processed stuff, no alcohol, 80% of what I ate either killed, caught it or grew it.
9 months of this and still declining. Struggling to sleep, but feeling exhausted everyday at 2pm. I got a sleep apnea test. I was fine. My normal blood work (liver, cholesterol, kidneys, thyroid) were “perfect” according to my doctor. Got my T checked. 304. Doc says “That’s normal.”
Kept up the diet and training. Added more strength training. Left my stressful job and found one that was much less stressful. Still struggling. Recheck T 6 months later. It was 290.
So I went on TRT. Game changer. Wish I would have done it 2 years ago. I’m better in every aspect of my life. Husband, father, job, training, races, im better at all of it.
“And she will like it too….”A little humor… Reading through this thread, from some posters it sounds like a Frank Thomas/Doug Flutie Neugenix commercial.![]()
Man that sounds ROUGH. My clinic had me switch back to doing singles more frequently rather than the doubles to keep rbc levels more even on average. So a note for anyone getting an oil change. I had been doing the power double red donations every 4 months. Last week I did one right before going turkey hunting. Let me tell you do no do one of these right before you go hunting. I was in the field 24 hours at altitude hiking mountains (7.5K) and have never felt so drained. It took me about three days to get back to having normal energy. Just wanted to make sure people learned from my mistake.
I remember when my wife first mentioned it to me when I started lifting weights for the first time. I'm still riding that high 5 years laterMy wife said I “look strong”.
Hahaha hell yeah brotherI remember when my wife first mentioned it to me when I started lifting weights for the first time. I'm still riding that high 5 years later
Looking good!Just got my first round of bloodwork back
Total T 974, free T 262 pg/ml. 120mg /week at 60mg twice per week.
Shgb, Hemocrit and Estradiaol were normal.
If you don't mind me asking, what's your peptide protocol?I started TRT back in January. Wooow made a huge difference! The reason for starting was I was constantly tired and not super motivated and running pretty much off mental toughness and not allowing myself to make excuses. Busy work schedule, growing family and constantly on the go I never felt rested. I’ve always been active and in fairly good shape but it was getting harder and harder to find that drive. Got tested and my test levels we so low they were almost non existent lol
TRT instantly gave me that fire back! Sleep, recovery, and sex drive are at an all time high! (Poor wife) Honestly makes me feel 25 again! Last few months I’ve really locked in dialed my diet back in and have been grinding in the gym! I’m in the best shape of my life at 35. The strongest I’ve ever been and also the leanest!
I’ve also integrated a peptide protocol which that in itself has completely transformed my physic! Healed injuries I had from wrestling for years and completely re-wired my metabolic system. I do monthly blood work to make sure my levels are good and everything is excellent! From getting blood work monthly I have been able to monitor my levels and have actually dosed down to a fairly small dose of TRT and have kept my testosterone levels high. Some of that I think is lifestyle changes, activity now that I have the energy and honestly peptides. If you do your research and use them properly they are life changing!
Hey Banned, I agree with you to an extent. I do think there are some folks that are truly hypogonadal and TRT really helps them. The unfortunate reality is there are a ton of guys out there that simply use testosterone as a shortcut but don't make life changes. I have considered testosterone in the past couple years but have not personally found the pros to outweigh the cons.Shooting up is NEVER the answer.
