recent article showing T increases from weight loss in metabolic hypogonadism....interesting results
so full disclosure I'm a pretty fat f**ckig bastard...honestly right around 29 to 30% body fat at 5'9 and 242lb and 52 years old. The more research I'm doing the more I'm thinking of stopping my TRT (only been on two weeks) and really trying to dial in weight loss and body fat % to see if my numbers come up/get better (there is such a huge correlation between obesity and low T). My last T test where my numbers were 328 Total T/5.2 Free T could have been due to a few things...primarily being a fat f**k, a few months prior I had my hip replaced (surgery can F with your hormones), I was going through a layoff/staff reduction at work (I lost my job and am the primary $ and healthcare provider, so I was obviously stressed), my son was getting married, and I was trying to get ready for an elk hunt by training with what I could do with my hip (with not much progress) .
Not saying the TRT isn't at some point ultimately needed, but in looking at my health history, I've been honestly been way too overweight for the last 10 years. I really think I need to get my body fat % down and then reassess my T levels and see how my other symptoms are....
