TRT

Just remember once you’re on it,
It’s a lifetime commitment.
Better give it some good thought specially
If you’re under 55 years old +\- a few.
Your 🥜 will stop producing.

No, it’s not a lifetime commitment. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from coming off TRT- other than they don’t want to feel like shit again.

10 second AI search pretty much sums it up.

I’m glad you have figured out AI. Seems like most of what you writes comes from AI searches.

Testosterone replacement therapy
(TRT) is generally considered a long-term or lifelong commitment because stopping treatment causes hormone levels to return to their original low state, often resulting in the return of symptoms. While not strictly mandatory for everyone, stopping after long-term use is difficult due to natural production suppression.

Key Considerations Regarding Lifelong Commitment:
  • Permanent Suppression: Using external testosterone suppresses your body's natural production, making it difficult to stop without experiencing symptoms.
  • Return of Symptoms: If TRT is stopped, your testosterone levels will drop back to their pre-treatment levels.
  • Underlying Causes: If low T is caused by a temporary, treatable issue (like obesity or medication), it might not be lifelong, but for chronic, age-related decline, it is often necessary indefinitely.
  • Long-Term Management: TRT requires ongoing monitoring of blood levels and potential side effects, such as acne, increased blood pressure, or fertility issues.

Wonder of wonders, people that feel like dog poo before getting TRT, don’t want to feel like dog poo again, and therefore generally stay on TRT. Shocking.

I edited my reply.
Did you get your free testosterone checked this is what actually matters. You’re not going to feel any difference between 400 and a 1000.
Now unless your shooting up 10 times that every day like body builders and athletes you will fell it for sure and you will die with heart issues unless your lucky.
Find me someone who was at a 400 and went to 1000 and doesn’t feel better.

I’ll wait.

Guess that’s why it’s a lifetime commitment isn’t it. I did AI because it was quicker to copy and paste. I skipped Typing class in school and went to the weight room because back in my day you was a 🐈 if you went to typing class. Nothing shocking to me hell I would just smoke some meth they say it also makes you feel good and keeps the weight off side effects you might loose your teeth or get a bad batch and die.

I understand all of this. Trust me I’ve done a ton of research on this. I am not taking testosterone I’ve decided against it. But I have to tell you that low 400’s for a 30 year old male is not “normal range”. When my 60 year old father has higher total and free t levels that I do at 30 than I do not consider that normal. I think there is a lot of research that will hopefully be coming out in the near future that will show all the garbage that men in my generation have been exposed to and fed has dramatically effected our endocrine system.

Agree with this. I’m just a bit older than you but functionally equivalent age, last test a few years ago was 600s. I’m sure it’s lower now. It’s wild to think that 65 yr olds 40 years ago had the same or more testosterone than our generation. No wonder how we ended up where we are as a country.

70, last blood work was 901 total t. All natural. I was 68 then.
Yeah, being 37 years older and having 39% more test than me (and over 100% from the other poster) shouldn’t be a normal medical situation yet here we are.

Badass on you man, that’s good stuff. I bet you kicked ass at my age 😂

Just spoke to my 62 year old co worker whom started TRT little over year ago Total testosterone 450. He said it was amazing for about 6 months taking 2 shots a week every 2 weeks 200mg Testosterone cypionate normal dosage. Now he’s thinking about stopping because he’s not feeling any benefits. He lifts weights Religiously and took antibiotic steroids when he was in his late twenties. So go figure. I told him you’ll be back where you started if you quit, he said that’s how I feel now. I can also tell physically he’s putting on weight not muscle mass, mid section fat. Explain that one.

I mean from everything I’ve researched is that it takes time to get your therapy dialed. It may take changing dosage or balancing other levels such as estradiol. It’s a process from what I understand

If your levels are genuinely low and you’re working with a doctor, TRT can be a game changer. Bloodwork and monitoring are key though.

Yea it’s just like any drug when you start it a little will do, than after a while you need more because the high has leveled out. After that is when the trouble starts, just look at Hollywood that alone should answer any questions. Ole Mr Brown Stone 😂
If you think TRT isn’t a drug you mistakenly fooled. I’ve worked for a Pharmaceutical Company for 30 years now and see what good stuff that goes into so called medicine.
Bad part is most of the internet stuff and not limited to comes from over seas and you know they love us Westerners they send us the good stuff 🤔
