TRT

As long as you do the same in all aspects of your health. You get cancer don’t take chemo. Just change you diet. You get a bad infection don’t take an antibiotic. Just sleep better.

Yes people need to practice preventive health and take care of themselves. But that won’t prevent you from getting poor health outcomes sometimes that require medical intervention.

Remember, none of us are getting out of this alive.

In a way I feel like that's comparing Apples to Oranges. I don't know enough about TRT to make any educated opinions and I hope after long-term use and research it proves to be a part of healthcare that is very benefical but as of now I feel like its in a certain classification that is more of in that WANT vs NEED and the way they market and advertise it would make me skeptical. The latest marketing is like its the Fountain of Youth but yet you also need to sign up ASAP the first 20 people in the door get a discount for life!

I hear you and was obviously being tongue in cheek on previous post.

My feeling is much of the hypogonadism today is from forever chemicals in our food and water. Hopefully this will improve as more is known and prevented from entering our food and water supplies. Most of this happens on a scale larger than the individual.

Maybe you’re just not meant to have normal testosterone. Or you are doing something wrong. It’s a good indicator when 80 year old men have higher testosterone than a man half his age. Good luck
I think the answer is much more complicated than how you have simplified it. I do agree with you lifestyle has a HUGE effect on hormone levels. But the trend over the last 15 years has been scary to see the drop in test not only from a "normal" age from where it should lower, but in men that are in their 30s.

My situation was caused by radiation from cancer treatment. Definitely not the normal situation. I suspect it was low prior to that. But i'll never know. And I live a healthy lifestyle with diet and exercise. At the time, i was doing shift work, which also has shown to contribute to low T. But everyone is different. Keep that in mind. What works in one body does not always work the exact same way in another.

Telling everyone to not take chemo is totally irresponsible. There are cases where it is the only option. And I ran health food stores for some time and am very well aware of natural alternatives and the dangers of chemo. Let me tell you, it sucked. Really bad. But you're casting a large wand over a subject that is not a black and white issue with a black and white solution.

I wish I didn't have to take chemo. I have long lasting effects from it. But I was 37 at the time and the chances of chemo coming back without the chemo was %80.

I was telling people to take chemo. It was in response to people saying not to take trt and just eat healthier and sleep more.

Living healthy is important. But all of us will need medical intervention at some point and should follow their doctors advice.

I see the post a few down from the one I quoted where you say tongue and cheek...

I now digress and will come off my rant and offer a free beverage of your choice if we ever cross paths.

no worries my friend. I’m an advocate for following your doctors advice. Sorry about your cancer. Hope you continue to stay well.

This is due to lack of exercise and unhealthy food.... More computer and non labor jobs and fast food

I would agree that genetics plays a role. But there has to be something else. I doubt guys on here that say they exercise, eat clean, get good sleep, etc and still have low testosterone aren’t telling g the entire story. And that’s fines I don’t care what they do. But taking testosterone means you’re on steroids. Plain and simple. I don’t care that guys do that. Just call it what it is, or don’t, I don’t care. But yeah it’s steroids dude.
I think it can be steroids depending upon how much you take. Bodybuilders take enough to drop a horse. They may have levels over 2,000. Bringing it up to a normal level, I just don't see the problem. I just feel normal. Low T is an epidemic. It's destroying a generation of young men. So many are fat, submissive and act like women. I think it's from micro plastics, processed food, and God knows what else they are putting in our food. Eating better and exercise can help but if you have no motivation to do anything from low T and you are depressed it's extremely difficult to turn that around on your own.

I did hear on a Rogan podcast years ago some female scientist said that 90% of all natural produced wild fish in US freshwater ecosystems are born female now:

Many things point toward the estrogen in female birth control "the Pill". All the urine excreted from women on the pill are extreme levels of estrogen. Cannot be filtered or treated from waste water like a heavy metal, etc.

And it's been used and re-used in our drinking water since the Pill was developed.

Sounded credible to me.

Alex Jones talked about gay frogs from the water years ago and everyone thought he was crazy.

I'm a fish biologist that deal with salmon and steelhead in the Columbia River and this is completely not the case here.

Each generation after the 1950’s has had males have smaller sexual organs, and as a consequence regardless of lifestyle or heath cannot produce the same level of testosterone that earlier generations did.

Plastics, chemicals, pesticides, estrogen from birth control, among many others destroy testosterone production, and worse it affects fetuses/babies for life. Saying “eat right, exercise”- would help a lot of people. However, even still the parentage of males that can get natural T levels over 700 is small. Our environment (ironically made so by the very generation that quips about “lazy”) destroys males ability to produce testosterone.

Conversely it has made penis size larger.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Eat right. Lift. Run. Get good sleep. TRT if you need it.

What is "normal" may also not be optimal... I've got a lot of things I'd like to do before I kick the bucket. I'd like to feel good while I'm doing them.
