I got my pronghorn buck last Sunday, turning my attention fully to mule deer and elk. I have a bull scouted, but have only seen 1 buck.

Hunting near Ennis Montana, think I'm going to try and hunt up Gallatin Canyon. Would really like to get on some with my bow before rifle starts up October 25th.

I'm seeing a ton of does, trying to glass from the roads. Thi king I just need to get off the roads and go back farther, glassing from up high?

Any Montana muke deer experts I coukd really use some advice as far as what you do during archery season. Thanks!

I haven't hunted Taylor's fork for a few years, but always seen decent bucks in there before. Maybe you've already been in there.

I haven't been over there yet, I'll give that a shot here next weekend (anniversary stuff this weekend unfortunately haha)

Thanks for the heads up!

Get away from the does into some rougher (probably higher but not always) country that still has deer feed in it. That is where the bucks will be until they start chasing those does early Nov.

I second what Robby said. Never hunted Montana muleys but from what I have experienced the bigger bucks are going to be off by themselves. Don't overlook anything. Sometimes those big boys will be in the middle of nowhere in the shade of some small brush. Get high and glass. Best of luck to ya!

Thanks guys, thats kind of what I was guessing. Makes it tough when working two jobs, I only have one day a week to try and get it done, makes it tough to have a solid plan in place!

I'm taking off Saturday evening after work, sleeping in the truck and waking up at about 3:30 or 4, going to hike up to the top of a mountain I've been checking out on Google earth, looks real good from there but I haven't seen it in person so we'll see!

Another thing to add is remember muleys will bed on hill sides where the wind is coming over the hill so anything sneaking over will get scented and be able to see anything coming up toward them.
