Trouble finding ammo

Anyone have any ammo or reloading components they still can't find?

We seem to be in a window of plenty at the moment...powders I haven't seen for years are starting to be available and even stick around. Oddball and premium factory ammo too. But the Covid shortages still seem like yesterday. And there's all sorts of weird $h*t and instabilities on the horizon, between the economy and global affairs. Wondering if anyone's still missing out on ammo or components...

Not currently. Prices sure discourage hoarding now though. There are periods of lack of bullets though like some Berger LRHTs were MIA for a while this summer.

Good point...prices are starting to come down a bit on some things, and have settled into a long-term floor on others, it seems, but all of it's a lot more expensive than it was before Covid.

I'm sitting pretty good. Slowly stack up my inventory and for some reason these shortages dont matter all that much anymore.

Amazing how it works that way, right?

That was definitely my experience with factory ammo - pretty much buy it several cases at a time, if for no other reason than lot-to-lot consistency for the rifles, and wasn't really bothered the last couple of shortages. But I got hammered with reloading component shortages during Covid when I first tried to dive into working up some rifle loads - no selection, get the little you can of whatever powder/bullet/primer opportunity you can while you can, etc. Went to look for some larger volumes of some harder to find powders yesterday, and was pleasantly surprised by how plentiful everything is, finally. That's also what caused the post here.

One of the nice things about sticking to just a few different powders/bullets. Lot easier to stock up

Just certain projectiles have been hardest to find.

My goal this year is to cut down how many loads I have. I don’t need a specific load for every rifle. I need ti find one load that serves a few, especially the 223s

I’ve definitely consolidated cartridges to make things simpler.

I’ve got a lifetime supply of about everything I shoot so shortage or not in the future I’m gtg

I agree with folks on here - need some Nosler Partitions for 243, say 200 and should be good for a bit.
