Trolling defined

I'm not a moderator, so I'm not seeing any rules to live by here, I'm reading tea leaves.

If you got facts to contradict something said in a post , could you deliver it in a trolling way? Sure, but to me, it's still a provable fact and has value.

And growing up on a dairy farm, never on my life would I have tried stinky goat cheese, dairy cheese is far superior! Till a guy from church gave me some homemade goat cheese from their farm to try, and while it wasn't dairy cheese, it was really good in it's own way.
See, I had an option about something, that I never had any first hand experience with. Once I actually tried it, I had a first hand experience to say, that's good, that sucks, you should at least try it once.

It's all dairy cheese.

Now, bovine, goat, sheep, camel cheese is all a bit different. But still dairy, think you are meaning cows milk cheese.

I'm not big on the fancy cheeses, that's Mrs Goat's thing.

My wife is always trying to slip the goat cheese onto my plate. To me it tastes the way goat balls smell. Ergo, goat cheese tastes like goat balls. “ Mr. Garrison, …. (You know the rest”). Goat cheese sucks… specifically it sucks goat balls. Trolling billygoat here.

No, I have never tasted goat balls, but I’m pretty sure they taste like goat cheese. Don’t even get me started on fomundaah cheese….

Now let’s talk about which cheese makes the best or worst bullets.
Mountain Oysters my friend.

I can send you some.

If a cheese makes someone sick, that's a first hand experience, is it not?
If you tried expandable with less success than fixed blade, or a friend did, is that not a first hand experience?
If data exists to say mono bullets are not as good based on ballistics for certain game, that's facts.

Lived experience are first hand, your first hand experience is fact.

To just say, expandable suck! And the only experience you got with one was walking past it at a local sporting good store, what value does that even have in a conversation? None
Presentation of experience is everything right?

If I shot one deer with one expandable and it was a bad experience, I should state it that way in a discussion right?

Too many times an experience is presented as written in stone based on one or two experiences that were probably caused by another influence.
example: I shot a deer at 32 yards with a _____ and it ran off! Ill never touch another expandable!

First hand experience and valid input but there is probably a reason the deer ran off other than it was a expandable right?

vs another guy who has shot 397 deer with multiple expandables and has kept a record of good and bad experiences and likely cause of bad performance.
This first hand experience carries more value than one or two half emotional experiences conveyed as the only experience you will get if you use _____ product.

Not that ones and twos aren't valid. If I read a 20 page thread full of those and 3 out of 4 posts are bad, I can assume it's likely I'll have a greater chance of a bad experience as well.

Yes, but I grew up with dairy cheese as the only way they labeled cow cheese. Goat cheese was labeled that, goat cheese, and no other cheese besides that existed.
Wisconsin cow cheese is still superior to all other cheeses!

I grew up with it just labeled cheese, the dairy part seems redundant. It's usually specified other than the price if it's from a different ungulate tho. Hence goat cheese, otherwise its just cheese, or if you are from Wisconsin, its Wisconsin Cheese.

Back from like my 3rd ban (this might get me permanently banned, who knows). But the mods here are definitely out on power trips and abuse their "power".

I once said this is the Reddit of hunting forums, and the moderators definitely seem to be proving that true.
Reddit actually has a hunting forum, in a surprise to absolutely no one it’s just a sub of people that have shot 1-2 deer in the stomach and spend most of the year giving new hunters tips from their wealth of experience

I agree with you but the majority does not.

If you did an actual poll, where every Rokslide member was forced to vote when they logged in, and the poll was “Which action is used on your main big game hunting rifle?

Rem 700/customs/clones would outnumber Tikkas at least 2-1. Even on a “Tikka heavy” forum like this one.

Folks read what they want to read, and in a tone that they want to hear. There is no escaping it.
Wonder how many Ruger Americans there would be??😁
