I think many use facts to pretend they aren't trolling.

You can tell they are baiting a hook, just waiting, letting it soak for a second before they set it.


But without it, what exactly is the forum? I mean, the back and forth is the entertainment, even when you don't agree. Sometimes it gets too much, but sure be boring if everyone on the forum actually loved Tikkas, or .223's.


And I have a fridge full of stinky goat cheese, has hints of walnut.

I'm not a moderator, so I'm not seeing any rules to live by here, I'm reading tea leaves.

If you got facts to contradict something said in a post , could you deliver it in a trolling way? Sure, but to me, it's still a provable fact and has value.

And growing up on a dairy farm, never on my life would I have tried stinky goat cheese, dairy cheese is far superior! Till a guy from church gave me some homemade goat cheese from their farm to try, and while it wasn't dairy cheese, it was really good in it's own way.
See, I had an option about something, that I never had any first hand experience with. Once I actually tried it, I had a first hand experience to say, that's good, that sucks, you should at least try it once.

Back from like my 3rd ban (this might get me permanently banned, who knows). But the mods here are definitely out on power trips and abuse their "power".

I once said this is the Reddit of hunting forums, and the moderators definitely seem to be proving that true.

Seems like you are trying to get banned. Do you think it's weird that you are very alone in your thought process? Maybe you are the problem, not the mods?

Isn't the majority of human behavior based on feeling? Even certain facts are subjective. Certain cheeses may suck and make some people sick. Expandable broadheads suck. Mono bullets suck. <--see where I'm going?

One persons felt/lived experience might conflict with another person's. This is a discussion board, so I feel the OP's definition of trolling is a bit narrow, to the point of stifling conversation.

I don’t think it’s so much the going back and forth, disagreements, regardless of them being rooted in fact or opinion. It’s more how one does it.

If you did an actual poll, where every Rokslide member was forced to vote when they logged in, and the poll was “Which action is used on your main big game hunting rifle?

Rem 700/customs/clones would outnumber Tikkas at least 2-1. Even on a “Tikka heavy” forum like this one.

Folks read what they want to read, and in a tone that they want to hear. There is no escaping it.

That’s very strange, as I have over 3 times the post count that you do, and I’ve not had a single issue with a mod. In fact, I’ve found them to be great dudes.

Yep, I went from a $4k+ custom/semi-custom built on a Zermatt TL3 to a customized T3X, and don’t really miss anything. The only thing I miss was the nice bolt lift. That is all. Wouldn’t go back.

Outside of rokslide, Tikka practically doesnt exist in my world. I don't know anyone who owns a Tikka locally and have never seen one for sale in our major sporting goods store.

That doesnt change the fact that they are superior in almost every way to all other brands though.
