Trolling defined

He's referring to maybe this one time a kid got scammed or something and then everyone chipped in money to help but there was possible controversy over if it was really a kid or not but actually could have been an adult scammer, but also could have like been a kid who used the money for gas station snacks or something.

I wrote that in Eric Cartman's voice.

Isn't trolling part of the forum experience? Some people need some hard trolling. I'm not even joking. They feel their opinions are the only ones worth hearing. If someone contradicting the OP of a thread is considered trolling; wouldn't that be considered enabling echo chambers and suppression of alternate thought?

I don't think it's trolling if it's recorded facts, and or first hand experiences.
If your bashing someone based on your feelings and options, that's not facts.
Dodge is better than Ford, Ford suck!
Now if I say I like Dodge better because they're repair rate is half of that of Ford, and they're facts to prove it, that's different.

Facts matter options and feelings don't. That's the way I proceed in differing conversations, and I believe that's what the mods are saying.

The art of conversation in differing options has been lost, and we need to gain it back.

FYI, I don't care about either vehicle brand.

Isn't the majority of human behavior based on feeling? Even certain facts are subjective. Certain cheeses may suck and make some people sick. Expandable broadheads suck. Mono bullets suck. <--see where I'm going?

One persons felt/lived experience might conflict with another person's. This is a discussion board, so I feel the OP's definition of trolling is a bit narrow, to the point of stifling conversation.

For the record, a hotdog on a bun is a sandwich

I think many use facts to pretend they aren't trolling.

You can tell they are baiting a hook, just waiting, letting it soak for a second before they set it.

But without it, what exactly is the forum? I mean, the back and forth is the entertainment, even when you don't agree. Sometimes it gets too much, but sure be boring if everyone on the forum actually loved Tikkas, or .223's.

And I have a fridge full of stinky goat cheese, has hints of walnut.

Would it be in poor taste and bad timing to say Dodge sucks?

If a cheese makes someone sick, that's a first hand experience, is it not?
If you tried expandable with less success than fixed blade, or a friend did, is that not a first hand experience?
If data exists to say mono bullets are not as good based on ballistics for certain game, that's facts.

Lived experience are first hand, your first hand experience is fact.

To just say, expandable suck! And the only experience you got with one was walking past it at a local sporting good store, what value does that even have in a conversation? None
