Take a look at the Promaster XC-M 522CK carbon fiber with two heads at Cameraland. Joel can take care of you. I have it and like the fact that it collapses to 12 inches and is light.

How about the Black Ovis Treeline?
My average hunting day consists of hiking approximately 2-3 miles to the area that I hunt. With that being said, the Black Ovis Treeline has been exactly what I've been looking for. I never glass standing up, its lightweight, and has a sweet pan head. Made me want to throw my old vortex one in the garbage haha

Shoutout to the guys at Cameraland! They are great to work with and I couldn’t be happier with my new Athlon Ares G2 UHD 15-45x65 45 degree spotting scope and Promaster XC-M 522C Carbon Fiber-Black tripod and the ProMaster Specialist Series SPCH20 Cine Head #2435

+1 for the Sirui T-024SK Compact Tripod with VA-5 Fluid Head from Cameraland. I think they're site sponsors, so you may be able to reach out and get a forum member discount to get that price down closer to your budget. I'm 5'-7" and can use it standing but just barely. My roommate bought a cheap one from Sportsmans and it's practically unusable. He borrows mine all the time. The head is a probably on the heavy side but if you're running big glass it can handle the weight and still operate very smoothly.

No matter what you go with, get twist lock legs. Way better than lever locks.

The BEST option for you for a advanced tripod would be the Bushnell 784030. Adjustable for a use with many different optics products in various situations.
Check here for to know better about this tripod.

I was lucky and found a used slik 634 with a no name acceptable pan head for $200 shipped in the classifieds here. Real happy with it as my first setup, I like the twist locking legs, super efficient.
this is a great idea. You can pick them up used sometimes for really good deals. I buy as much as I can used to save a little cash

If you can swing a little extra call @gr8fuldoug at camera land and get the

Sirui T-024SK Compact Tripod with VA-5 Fluid Head.

It’s $299 but they seem to have deals every once in a while and they are awesome to deal with.

That’s what I have now, and for the money, it’s great. It’s priced below its performance for sure… when you buy the combo, the tripod is about 100 bucks considering the price of the head… it’s way better than any 100 dollar tripod I have seen… light enough and very stable to glass from

Just got a Slik Pro CF-635 in the mail and boy am I impressed. Haven't gotten the chance to use it out in the field but my initial impression of the weight-stability ratio is that it'll be in my pack for a long time. They run a little higher at $250, but they're on sale on gohunt.com for $190!
