Hello,

As the title says, I am debating between these two scopes for my next rifle. This will be an ultralight build, going on a Tikka Superlite .300 Win with a carbon fiber stock, so the rifle is already light enough that the 4 oz weight difference isn't a huge deal. I am mainly concerned with the eyebox on the NX8 and the extra magnification. I would like to be able to still make relatively quick shots in thick timber, which I feel like the 3x magnification on the Trijicon would be better at.

Has anyone else compared these two scopes or have thoughts on this?

Thanks,

I had the nx8 and now have the new tenmile hx 25x, no experience with the 18x tenmile. Eyebox is better on the tenmile. Can't comment on low power for hunting, I have never dialed them down below 22x except at the range to see what they looked like.

The Tenmile has a reticle that is easier to see at lower power in thick timber.

The eye box on the 4-32 NX8 is not an issue. I have shot thousands of rounds using them and have never had an issue.

I have both, and while I like the NF, I prefer the Tenmile mainly for the reticle and the illumination adjustment knob. Both have been dead reliable.

I have the 3-18 and a 4-14 shv and prefer the triji, really wanting the 5-25 ten mile now.
