Trijicon Credo 2.5-15x44 (SFP) or Tenmile 3-18x44 (FFP) for Backcountry Rifle

@jreyna,
Between the two I’d go with the Tenmile, as I’ve had two of them. But over that, I’d rock the Maven RS1.2. That’s what I now use. A better hunting reticle than the Tenmile, but same durability

same. even the SWFA 3-15 I like more than the tenmile. the tree kinda sucks

I first tried the tenmile then realized how big it is. Mostly longer than what I like for a backcountry setup. Sold it, bought a Credo and pocketed a few hundred bucks difference and couldn’t be happier. I don’t mind the second focal plane and I actually like the reticle.

The biggest problem with the Credo 2.5-15 (SFP) is the eye box is very tight at 15x making it very difficult to effectively use the reticle from field shooting positions. Might as well be a duplex. In addition I usually want to be in the 6-12 range when shooting to maintain FOV and a good eyebox.

Love my Tenmile 3-18 for backcountry. It's lighter than a lot of the FFP scopes in its category. It's a little long, but it hasn't gotten in the way. Credo's are great, I'm just not a SFP fan. I'd have no hesitation putting a Credo 2-10 FFP on a hunting rifle.

If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the Tenmile only offered in mils and the credo hx in moa? Or is there a mil option on the credo hx? Cause to me that might a big deciding factor for the original poster if he has a preference of one or the other.

I personally have 6 Credo HX as I started with moa, and for now, have chosen to stay with it.
Tenmile is all Mil, Tenmile HX is all MOA. Credo is a mix of Mil and MOA and Credo HX is MOA.
