Trijicon Credo Red or Green??

Going to pick up a 3-9 Mil Square soon and I’m curious if there is one better than the other.
I’ve had red illumination in the past and it has worked well for me. I’m just curious if the green offers something better. Thanks.

I find green to offer more contrast on an animal personally

Think the red is almost to bright? Meaning green may be as usable but “softer” on the eye?

You can adjust the brightness of either, I just find green to be less distracting in my sight picture.

I guess I'm the odd man out. I have a Tenmile that has green and red, and I prefer the red. I have also primarily used red reticles so it might just be a familiarity thing.

@DenimChicken I’ve always had red myself. Being familiar and comfortable with it is pulling me in that direction now.

I tried taking a few pictures and they were embarrassingly bad. I hung my head in shame and will try again tomorrow. Not trying to be a smartass but you might be able to Google green/red reticles. Even if it's not the same reticle, it should give you an idea of how the colors appear against a target.

I recently acquired the same scope. I really like it...but... it's not even close to daylight bright. I had it on the highest setting and thought the battery might have died until covered the objective. Its actually dimmer to me eye than the vortex strike eagle it replaced.

Other than that, its a great scope.

I have a credo and can see the 9th/10th setting in broad daylight. I think the reticle being thin overall does make it tougher though

Valid point. And one I’ll take into consideration.

All jokes aside, if the kids like red and it will get them looking through the scope (and shooting), red it will be. I’ll ask my 10 year old tonight.

I have [3] Credo 1-6's in red and [2] Credo 3-9's with green duplexes. I like the green better. Plus they give about 3-4 times the battery life over the red. Currently trying to keep from buying a 3-9 with green mil square.

Greater battery life isnt bad, I didnt know that. I own red. Mine is plenty bright for daylight use at 3x. Maybe obvious, but If anyone is having trouble with this make sure you have it turned up to the highest brightness setting, it shuts off between brightness levels.
