Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-10x56 for $549

For those with this scope or similar Trijicon with capped turrets, how are the turrets if you take the caps off and just leave them exposed? I would want to dial it occasionally

There is no zero stop, but you could dial with it. I have a 2.5-10 with the exposed top cap since I wanted to dial elevation with a zero stop. But I think these are great scopes especially at that price point

I have this scope. I won't say impossible, but you'd have to work pretty hard to to accidentally spin the wind turret if you left the cap off. Like @Hnthrdr said: the elevation current is exposed, but has a zero stop. I wouldn't hesitate for a second at full price if you like the scope. That's price is a steal.

The one on sale has a capped elevation unfortunately

I mean depends on what you are going to put this on, would be great for something fairly flat shooting, a MPBR type rifle, or couple hundred yards and in or a timber gun, love the light gathering, love the green duplex reticle really over any other color. I will say you can generally find hurons’s with the Hunter hash marks built in for around 400, but not illuminated

I missed that. Sorry.
It looks like it still has a zero stop on it, so I think it still wouldn't give me too much pause. The turret clicks seems to take a little more oomph than other scopes; probably good in this case to prevent accidental shifts or bumps.

Is the turret sealed / water tight without the cap on?

It looks like it lists it as having it (unless misprinted?): 1764198457495.png

That I don't know. You might call Trijicon and ask. I'd imagine it's a sealed system or they'd have a world of complaints with water getting in...but don't take my word for it!

That statement is saying this line of scope has either capped turrets OR zero stop so you don't accidentally bump it.

From Trijicon's website this model has "Capped adjusters"
