I’ve been trying to teach myself to use Fusion 360, and I figured I’d design and print a set of scope caps. I’ve gone through a few iterations, and I think I’ve settled on a final design that seems to work pretty well. I’ve been using them for a few months now, and they’ve help up great so far. I printed them using TPU with quite a bit of infill, so they’re fairly stiff, but still have a little ‘give’ when I bang my rifle around.

Looks good! I'd like to do something similar. Kind of remind me of the "scope bumpers" scope caps. Have you seen those? Quite a steep price on them, so I've been interested in trying to DIY

Did you by chance try the current rendition with less infill? I like the design and am curious about how much they weigh once all said and done.
I used 50% infill on these, so there’s some flex. I originally tried 30%, but that made the caps seem a little too floppy. I went up to 80%, but I didn’t see the benefit of going that stiff. For what I wanted, 50% seemed to be the sweet spot.
