Tricer LP (panhead)

Has anyone had a lot of time with this panhead? Currently have a kowa 883 and a 7.5lb gun I would like to shoot from

I've messed around with it for a while now. It's badass for only being 4 ounces. It will stabilize your spotter without a problem. I mounted 3 diffrent rifles and played around with it, haven't had a chance to actually shoot off of it yet though. 7lb, 12lb, and a 21lb rifle is what I had with arca rails to play with. I don't think I would attempt a shot past 300 with it locked in, definitely had a little wobble (remember it's a 4 ounce head). I tried it in a modified prone position using a chair as a rear support, it was extremely solid. I'll get it out to the range and mess around with it but I have no doubts using it as a front support with a solid rear support you would be fine.

I put my btx 85 on the tricer really not expecting much. I’m shocked at how well it supports it and how smooth it pans. It’s definitely not ideal and would not be my first choice for the btx but I’m very impressed with this head. Should be awesome for binos and spotting scope setup.

Seems like good feedback so far, I’m skeptical tho with how light it is compared
To my va5

If you call drew, he will include a return shipping label if you do not like it you can send it back for full refund.

I called him the other day about a trekking pole i broke and he is going to send me a new one. He also old me gohunt is going to sell the tricer lp. I just checked and it is up on their website.

Looks like they are coming out with a new inverted tripod. I like the idea of adjusting leg height at the base of the panhead. Seems efficient.

I really like the design but looks big and bulky for a pack. Hoping I’m wrong

I actually sold a VA5 in favor the Tricer. It is the bee’s knees, especially on my CF Sirui.

Anyone compared this to a Wiser Precision Nighthawk yet? I’d be really impressed if it’s as good for even less weight and cost.

The weight is pretty impressive, I'm not looking to switch from my Outdoorsmans system but I'll be following people's experience with the Tricer LP next season
