Just went on my first hunt and found the most beautiful coues buck. Now I’m hooked. But my pack felt really heavy. I have a Leofoto tripod that is rock solid and awesome but weights 4.5 lbs or so and it is the heaviest single thing I carry besides my bow or rifle. I am interested in the Tricer GTP-1 since I always have trekking poles. I went full sent on a pair of Swarovski NL Pure 14x52 and I am hesitant to trust the GTP-1 with such a nice (and expensive) pair of glass. I am also uncertain it will be tall enough. I am 6’1” and not sure the 64” extension will be tall enough without slouching.
Does anyone have experience with the GTP-1 and its stability fully extended as well as the height? Would you trust it with premium glass full extended?
