Who has tested the Tricer DZ head? I'm curious how it compares to the Anvil 30 for shooting.
I have a few West Texas hunts with it and a New Mexico mule deer hunt with it so far. My first impressions were great it’s stable and pans fantanatic in all directions. You can lock down the north/south direction and seamlessly slow pan with the right amount of drag.Who has tested the Tricer DZ head? I'm curious how it compares to the Anvil 30 for shooting.
Another note: my drag for the right to left movement was locked in the out position(freely moving without drag) upon receiving the product. I thought It did not have a lock down in the beginning. I had to grab a wrench and really crank on it until it busted loose. Now it works flawlessly. Holds a Sony 7IV and 200-600mm lens with no problems.@HootCamo thanks for the info. I went ahead and ordered one to try out.
The left to right movement on my Tricer DZ head is free moving as well. I wish I could get it to lock still but I don’t want to break it. I thought it was just made that way. Would like to see how you busted it loose. Really a shame it couldn’t come ready out of the box for the priceAnother note: my drag for the right to left movement was locked in the out position(freely moving without drag) upon receiving the product.
