Got black diamond alpine carbon corks recently. I can't believe I haven't tried poles until this year. I would guess you can't go wrong with any decent brand flick locks.

Just ordered these. 20% off at REI online with the code 20REWARDS, then applied $44.78 in dividends. Should have been over $165 with tax, came in under $90.

1 vote for Komperdell carbon. I had the twist lock and one of my poles broke the mechanism while packing out. I sent the poles back this spring to their CS dept for a repair. They sent back a new set of carbons with the flip locks at no charge with no questions asked.

+1 vote for the flip locks. Much sturdier.

There are some Leki poles on Camofire currently. I don't know anything about them. Just happened to notice them and this thread.
