Treestand Recommendations??

Lone Wolf Sit and Climber for a climbing treestand works well, packs flat, lightweight, quiet, and easy to climb.
Lone Wolf Assault with 4 sticks is my go to fixed stand when I plan on putting them up and taking them down each time out.

Just remember that all those folding stands have joints and every one I've ever owned eventually squeaked. I use all welded summit stands. I'm huge so I use a couple of goliaths and a titan. The goliaths are actually better to me as the braces are at a better angle for resting my arms that the titan. The vipers are the standard sized model but I can't even fit in the frame lol. If that neat folding stand starts to squeak when the buck of your dreams is coming in and blows him into the next county you will hate life.

If I remember correctly the old mans use a mesh seat. Freeze your arse ! Buddy had a leaner I sat just one time my friend. Hot weather great but cold not so much.

I didn't like how the climbing cable worked on the ol man. Summit folds flat and you can get up the quicker

Any of those stands will work and are similar in construction and function. I really like the new Summit Viper Elite though at 16lbs. I normally use the meat shelf on a Badlands 2200 to transport them. The ol' Man and the API fold flat and pack better but the Summit's not bad. It'd be hard to go wrong with any of them.

I didn't know that the summit vipers got that light. I've killed a pile of whitetails out of my summits and never had one give me away with a squeak or a creak. Really comfortable and rock solid when climbing. No the vipers don't fold flat but they hunt awsome.

Summit. I've been using mine for 10 years and it's great. Strong, light, quiet, comfortable, everything you can ask for in a climber.

I use Summits and Ol'Mans for my climbers...I like an open front for bowhunting, so my favorite summit is my old Cobra. My Ol'man is the Drone.

I've been using my Leverage with 3 - 6 sticks more than my climbers lately....this setup comes in at 21 - 29lbs depending on the number of sticks and you don't have to worry about the the type of tree as much.

Shrek, Good tip on the squeek issue with folding joints.

Griffinit, I only have one climber, an API Grand Slam Mag. It's all welded, quiet and super comfy.
I do have to admit though that once the heatshrink on the chain breaks in a few places it becomes a pain to adj for tree dia. So if you get the API, get a couple extra heatshrink tubes for the chains. For what it's worth, the bottom half of mine does double duty in the off season as a dog stand for waterfowling.

Thanks guys! Huntnfish looks like a cool waterfowling area! Never hunted flooded trees like that!

I'm going to go with The Summit Viper SD!!

If you are doing any amount of walking with the stand on your back I would highly suggest a lone wolf. Iv got a summit (the smallest one) that I hate cause its huge to carry. Yea its light, and its nice once you get er on the tree. But im pretty sure everything in the woods can hear me coming with that thing on my back
