Hello,

I just purchased a Hawk Sasquatch 1.5 man 21' stand. It is constructed with Oval tubing.
I thought it would be helpful to have a pair of the treestand stakes (a few makers our there) to help stand it up against the tree. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any for oval tubing.

Ameristep and StandUp both make them for square tubing. Hawk has their own stakes but they very different than the other two. Hawk (GSM) customer service was completely useless when I called them.

I will have at least one other person with me to get it set up.

No one uses stakes to set up their ladder stands? Or am I in the wrong forum?

I drive a couple stakes about a foot out from the bottom of the ladder and tie a rope around the bottom step. Keeps the bottom of the ladder from lifting up and walking away while you’re standing it up.

I put up a free standing tripod stand last year and screwed in 3 of those pet stakes and then ratchet strapped the stand down. It has been bomb proof so far and solid as a rock.

I don't use stakes on the bottom -- at the top and the middle use ratchet straps -- just kick the legs into the dirt at the bottom.
