Hey Travis! I am in Southern Oregon, Lovin the updates! Keep it up man, you are getting closer day by day!
Thanks Pete! One of my friends goes by fat Pete? On some other forums which is funny considering he isn't fat at all. I was wondering if it was him or not.
Today I did 15 minutes of hunting. We started the day out with driving to Tucson to pick up a new spot hogg hogg father sight! My mom is awesome! She picked it up for me!!!
Bull basin archery in Tucson is top notch if anybody lives near or passes through. Knowledgable staff and big selection.
We then stopped at Sportsmans warehouse in Tucson and I can't believe the taxidermy like Doug said. Absolutely incredible. We were checking out the 15x slc binos and comparing them to the vortex. Slc is noticeably nicer to myself... We were getting ready to walk away and my mom says," we will take the swaros..." My jaw dropped. Oh and throw on that manfrotto tripod while your at it! I couldn't believe it! She bought me the best sight on the market, a pair of swaro 15x and a manfrotto tripod! By the way, NO you can't have her! She is MY mom! She's not for rent, lease or sale!
I was (am) in hog heaven! We drive back down south with just an enjoyable drive as the way up. Laughing joking about that Notre dame football player.
Got back to camp and took my wife out with the metal detector while I set my pins on my bow. The sun was going down as I set the last pin so I grabbed the mrs. and headed up a small hill, we quickly found a small herd of deer a ways out but not enough light to see antler or do anything about it if I did. We packed up and headed home.
My wife got her first taste of cactus as well. It was on a prickly pear. Hehe. Now she knows what I have been dealing with.
All in all a great day spent with great people.
Love you MA!!!
