Went on a 20.3 mile loop exploring for a future spring bear and elk tag. Unbelievably gorgeous country.

I'm sure Scott will add his own later, his pictures are way better then mine!

We took my buddy Luke along for the trip. He was a virgin backpacker...and he's currently sitting in the backseat unable to move or function.

Edit: Scott did the calcs on his computer... Looks like our total mileage was 20.3, which included a backtrack for a better camp.

Very nice. I was just over there a few weeks ago hunting turkey in Weneha and Mt. Emily. Gorgeous, lots of elk.

Phoneskope bro!

I know! It's on my list...but my money seems to find better things to occupy itself...

That blurry picture at a distance with the light spot was an elk (presumably a bull) running down the spine ridge.

One of my favorite units. A friend of mine got a large!! bull out of there a few years back. I started gathering points last year, and when the time comes will try and draw this unit. Thanks for the pictures Travis!

Nice, I am hoping to draw that unit this year. I only have 12 points so my chances aren't that good. nice pics

Did you apply for both east and west? What weapon choice?

Are you a Washington resident or Montana resident? Its pretty expensive as a non res to apply for elk in Washington. A little over $600 to just apply for elk.
