Trash in the Backcountry

People that litter need a beating

I get the lazy asses driving down the road and throwing stuff out the window but don't understand those that would take the time to get into the backcountry and leave their trash.
I would think that the people who enjoy the backcountry would care enough not to litter it :(

I had told a friend, who hikes a lot but on designated trails, about how many balloons I find in the woods. He told me he had never seen any in all his years hiking. We did an off trail trip and found 3 in one day.

Here's one I found on my brothers birthday, also the day I shot this bear.

I remember being taught "minimum impact" in public elementary school in the Midwest BITD.
I've never heard of that being done anywhere else.

I'm sure there are some malicious and lazy people other there, but there are also many inconsiderate folks too, that if they were taught or just redirected would do the right thing.

I keep finding my own trash too. Not that I intentionally tossed something, it just got away in a moment of neglect. And that's why I can't get too upset while picking up others' stuff.
