Trash in the Backcountry

People that litter need a beating

I get the lazy asses driving down the road and throwing stuff out the window but don't understand those that would take the time to get into the backcountry and leave their trash.
I would think that the people who enjoy the backcountry would care enough not to litter it :(

OP, thanks for the good work you're doing. It's all to easy to just walk by trash out there. There was an old article in the Seattle Times along the lines of "Where Balloons Go to Die." It's astonishing how many of them wind up in the backcountry woods and mountains. It looks like Florida is even making laws about it to protect their wildlife. https://www.seattletimes.com/nation...wildlife-florida-is-set-to-ban-their-release/

I had told a friend, who hikes a lot but on designated trails, about how many balloons I find in the woods. He told me he had never seen any in all his years hiking. We did an off trail trip and found 3 in one day.

Here's one I found on my brothers birthday, also the day I shot this bear.
