Trail running shoes?

I’ve never tried the la sportiva stuff,
I had the nucleo's last year. They were light and comfortable, but a pair couldn't make it through a month of sheep hunting and only a few training miles. Luckily, my son had the same boots and size, and I finished my hunt in his.

The am currently using the ALTRA Long Peak 2 and appreciate the foot room. The Crispi Mesa caught my eye but don’t want to fork out the money. Maybe worth a look.
What's the durability like with the Altra lone peaks? I might give them a try

The Lone Peak 2s have been good so far. There are some weak spots at the toe flex zone, I can tell the material is creasing and will fail at the big toe joint first. A through hiker told me TopoAthletic has the same toe room and better durability compared to ALTRA and most PCT hikers switched to Topo.

I also purchased the Crispi Mesa in an attempt to bridge two footwear worlds. In reality they are pretty weird. I sent them back and got the Crispi Lapponia 3. No regrets. I’ll probably use the Lone Peak 2s for day trips and scouting and the Lapponias for backpack hunts.
