How often are you all going through strings? This thread makes it sound like you guys are going through a lot of them.

Not that often really. Once a year if it’s really shredded. More often than not, once every couple years.

It all depends on how much you shoot. When I shot a lot pretty much every day. I would replace twice a year.

Pre hunt season I would “shoot in” two brand new strings so I would have a spare ready to go for emergencies. I didn’t get to hunt this fall so I wasn’t to worried about it.

Its fun to learn to make your own. A spool of FF isnt cheap but goes a long way. A well constructed string will last many years but may need reserved maybe once a yer with lots of shooting.
