Came across this on a recent hunt. Seemed big for a coyote but wasn’t sure. Figured I’d ask here

Here kitty, kitty.
Big bobcat would be my guess.

Not quite as exciting as a lion I guess but still pretty cool. We had for sure bumped it, whatever it was, because that snow was brand new. It stopped snowing just before we walked up there

For me it’s really hard to tell even when seeing it in person sometimes. It doesn’t snow where I live but soft substrate like mud tends to make the critter look bigger than they actually are. I’ve seen really big bobcat tracks make you think you’ve got a lion.

Judging by your username I think you and I are from the same neck of the woods. I’ve heard reports that there are a few Lynx in the area again and I’d say that it looks like a lynx track due to the size of the track but I’ve never seen one in person.
