So, we thought 4 or maybe 5.... but definitely not 7!

Our Belgian Malinois female had 5 boys last night followed by 2 girls this morning.

The male has been beside himself. He keeps pawing at the liquor cabinet with a look that says, "oh no no no no no...."

The female looks at him like, "you did this to me!"

And the fun begins....

After 16 hours or so, final count is 9 (and I thought she was done at 7)

These dogs are truly incredible.

Dam came from a working dog breeder. She was a little small for the work they were bred for. Very high protective drive, high energy, great bite, but only 43lbs.

Sire is a companion dog. He is the lover to her fighter. He is also small at 50lbs, but still high energy (though not nearly as high as her).

Both are wicked smart and adaptable. I have had and incredible experience with them, but they are a lot of work.

Final count: 5 boys, 4 girls.

These dogs have really caught my attention. I've been looking at them for a while now, but there's not many of them in MT.

Pretty impressive breed. Check out www.svallin.com These guys are in Montana, pretty crazy how much their dogs are worth.... way outside my pocket book.....about 80K to be exact.

Whew!!! Whole lotta mini hounds! Just brought home an 11 week old puppy last Saturday, our dog had that same look on his face..
I now sit still in 4 minute bursts..

Loved watching those things scare the hell out of Iraqis coming through our checkpoint lol. I'll have one one of these days.
