DAMN!!!! Catch a breath, Shrek! 🏆1st place on your assessment! One caveat.... you can't let Barney off the hook! He had a seat at the table!

They forced mortgage companies “TO MAKE THEM AVAILABLE”

It still took the morons to go get them!

I blame them, not the sharks that set them up. I could’ve fell into the same trap but for some reason didn’t

Now, what’s sad is I have to pick up the tab unfortunately.

It’s a double fault

Agreed! Yes, it took more than just the idiots at the top. There absolutely is a responsibility factor to recognize

Nailed it. I work for one of the families on this list. Their sole intent is to feed more people in the world (it's an agricultural business), and to provide more jobs and better jobs for the people that work for them. Not every super wealthy person is greedy. Many of them inherited their wealth and and see value in growing whatever business they are involved in to provide JOBS and benefits to society (FOOD).

I have sat in meetings with the "billionaire" at the helm. He does not take anything for the sake of lining his own pockets. The old man drives a 90's model SUV, wears jeans, and looks the hourly employee from Mexico right in the eye and asks about his family. There are good people out there who also happen to be billionaires and own millions of acres.
Yep. I used to work for a company owned by a man like that. Back in the early 2000's he updated his fleet vehicles. Every employee got a brand new 4 wheel drive truck to drive. He stayed with is mid 90's cherokee. His wife drove an early 90's model suburban. In 2010 when he updated the fleet vehicles again, every one got a brand new 4 wheel drive truck. He still drove his Cherokee and, his wife upgraded to a 2003 Ford Explorer. Now, he dressed spiffy when he was in the corporate office working because he was always taking the company jet to meeting across the eastern US. But, when he worked in the woods, his blue jeans, tee shirts, and cruising vest were as old as some of the foresters he employed.

He donated more money and time to help people then anyone I have ever known.

Any one with any cash made out well in the recession, but land prices didn’t crash, they stalled. Big difference

There was plenty of blame to go around for the last recession. The Gov't set the table and the greed of bankers, consumers, and ratings agencies, appraisers, etc. built the house of cards. IMO anyone blaming or absolving any one group simply has constructed a narrative they need to defend.
