Anybody here, also on Archery Talk remember the Ohio Giant train wreck of a thread? I read it every day for weeks. Talk about burning a spot? Some basic info and trailcam pic of a deer at night, and within a few hours, with the help of google earth, the address where the camera was located was posted. Strangers showing up at the guys door and calling him from across the country to try and hunt in his back yard. I had family not far from there in Ohio, I was calling to see if they knew anyone who live near by.

pivot and have multiple areas ready and improve your career to a place that allows more time off so you can hunt/ scout more

in any scenario spot burning with any unit numbers period isn’t the answer

Gobbler36, I did have multiple areas in the northern part of the unit, which I scouted in June and was all shut down when the season opened in Sept. In hind sight I should have scouted other areas in the unit. When I got there in September, I did pivot and scouted/hiked/hunted other areas in the unit. I had one good opportunity at a branch antlered bull and blew it, just lost focus and not paying attention.

Sounds like an incredible hunt that just didn’t pan out. sounds like you did a great job!

Solid work boys wish other forums would follow suit.

Nice work Mods! Another reason this is the only forum I've continued to visit/contribute on for several years now. Lot of great dudes here willing to help...but you gotta have some standards.
